Job description
This is a progressive role with diverse tasks and responsibilities. The successful candidate will primarily address issues related to databases, SQL queries, and information management.
They will actively contribute to the development of forms, reports, and dashboards by creating SQL queries as well as XML, JSON, and office documents based on the needs of clients or internal users. The candidate will also have the opportunity to support the development and operations team.
Tasks
The tasks to be performed are diverse and may include:
- Design and develop forms, reports, and dashboards using SQL queries;
- Analyze client requirements and develop solutions in collaboration with the consulting team;
- Conduct software testing and apply quality controls;
- Perform data imports/exports;
- Optimize SQL queries and database tables;
- Develop automated triggers, migration scripts, or operational scripts;
- Track client requests and provide follow-ups;
- Maintain knowledge bases and document completed actions;
- Proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of company procedures by proposing innovative ideas and collaborating with relevant departments.
The candidate may also be called upon to support the technical support team, perform on-call software duties outside office hours, and design and develop BI (Business Intelligence) solutions, data warehousing, and reporting tools (Power BI, Crystal Reports, etc.).
Skills
- DEC or AEC in Computer Science;
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience;
- Excellent proficiency in French and English (written and spoken);
- Advanced knowledge in designing complex SQL queries;
- Experience with MySQL databases and a solid understanding of the underlying concepts;
- Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, innovation mindset, and a positive attitude;
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously;
- Familiarity with network concepts and IT infrastructures;
- Basic knowledge of programming and data organization concepts;
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite;
- Knowledge of PowerShell, Power BI, or Crystal Reports, Jira, Git, and Svn (considered assets).

Conditions
- Permanent full-time position – 37.5 hours per week;
- Salary range of $58,000 to $87,000, depending on experience;
- Remote work allowed, with constant access to an office and in-person presence required only once every two weeks;
- May occasionally be required to work outside regular business hours if needed.
